Abstract
This study aims to research into a job satisfaction(a factor of working environment, a factor relevant to the job description, and a psychological and social factor) of employed people with psychiatric and suggest a plan for keeping their job effectively based on the above factors. We conducted a survey of 140 people with psychiatric from August to September in 2007, and utilized 104 answer sheets as research data. Following is the specific result of this study : First, the job satisfaction of employed people with psychiatric has meaningful results with the following factors. 1) In research on satisfaction of working environment of employed people with psychiatric, their satisfaction with the concern about time for consulting their doctor was the highest as 3.59 and their satisfaction with the welfare system of their work place was the lowest as 2.99. 2) In research on satisfaction of a factor relevant to the job description of employed people with psychiatric, their satisfaction with the importance of working to them was the highest as 4.11 and their satisfaction with their salary whether it is enough to keep their life or not was the lowest as 2.73. 3) In research on satisfaction of psychological factor of employed people with psychiatric, their satisfaction with the question whether they think they are comparatively nice or not was the highest as 3.13 and their satisfaction with the question whether they feel inconvenience by disability in their work place or not was the lowest as 2.57. 4) In research on satisfaction of social factor of employed people with psychiatric, their satisfaction with the question whether they have a special person who can help them in case of emergency or not was the highest as 3.24 and their satisfaction with the question whether they can depend on friends when their work are relatively not going on very well was the lowest as 2.46. Second, it is considered the most meaningful factors to extend a period of working for people with psychiatric as satisfaction relevant to the job description and working environment. In other words, the existing vocational training for rehabilitation was a mentally challenged- centered educational program, however, it should be extended to getting information about their work place, improving welfare system, education for employers and coworkers, the campaign to change their thinking about people with psychiatric, a pay raise, and opening up the way of promotion from now on.
